    Hello to all of you!

Im so impressed by this Forum and thankful for it. have been lurking and scrolling thru the threads since 2 week and finally feel the courage to post my story. I'm 30 years old, turning 31 tomorrow and live in Switzerland

    about my case:

Had a lot of ear infections, throat infections, wisdom teeth, somehow this area is my weak spot, often had ear pressure aswell but in my twenties not anymore.

I had a scuba diving barotrauma in my right ear beginning this year (February) which led to an infection, eardrum burst and tinnitus. Hearing came back after a few days tinnitus stayed. The audiogram showed that I don't hear too well on my left ear aswell which I didn't know before.. anyway after that I thought: ok I gotta live with this tinnitus it its not too bad, could be worse...
but couldn't sleep well after this.. was more or less in a constant fight or flight mode..
2 Month later I hear a roaring/woohsing in BOTH of my ears every time before going to bed for a few days in a row... scared me a bit but didn't think to much.. ENT didn't know what it was, said its just part of my Tinnitus. (but always asked me about if I have dizziness which I didn't have at all)
then this Summer the ear pressure started to creep up slowly in both ears.. I always just had the need to pop my ears which didn't bring to much of a relief. what I realized aswell that the ear pressure was much more whenever I was stressed or tired. also started to develop teeth clenching (went to the dentist and he said I've been doing it for long probably, got a mouth guard)
then this Oktober (again being a bit under stress) I started to hear Tinnitus in my left ear as well... Plus my hearing often going down... the audio Tests showed on both sides increasing low frequency loss..
Ent told me at one point, it could be something in a direction like MM... a few days later the Dizziness actually appears.. that was 3 Weeks ago. since then I feel dizzy and have a poor balance and light sensivity, sometimes Nausea, Brain Fog and Tired, strong Tinnitus never had a full Vertigo attack but felt often like being really close to one.
Ent gave me a Appointement with a specialist in a week..

    what I'm doing so far:

low salt diet (a bit in the direction of Medical Medium)
Acyclovir (since 1 week, got a throat pain for two days and a canker sores, dizziness progressed)
    Betahistin/ SERC 3x24mg
JOH (Lysine, Lemonbiovflavonoid, Ginko, Vitamin C)
avoiding stress (anyway couldn't do much atm in my condition besides walking with the dog)

    my questions to you:
Do you think this could be Virus related, even with the history above and bilateral ?
or am I wasting my time by doing the JOH?
I often have clogged nose on one side.. also a bit itchy sometimes, Sinus also seems constantly a bit swollen.. sometimes some short ear pain that last a few seconds..
Anything I could consider checking out or prioritizing regarding my story?

Im really afraid to become deaf in a short time considering my already quite progressed hearing loss. I want to do everything I can do to lessen the symptoms and manage this thing..

sorry for my long post, hope you all are ok
    all the best
    Urban

Your light sensitivity, ongoing dizziness and other atypical MM symptoms may point to vestibular migraine, which is often misdiagnosed as Meniere’s. It’s worth asking the question to a neurologist, because the treatment is entirely different.
