Any brave souls out there ever risk taking a cruise during a time you were experiencing frequent symptoms? I planned this cruise several months ago during an optimistic time when I was on a long stretch of symptom-free living. Now I'm with symptoms and am leaving on Saturday.

It's my first cruise so I'm not exactly sure what to expect but I'm sure the diet and noise levels alone could trigger some doozy episodes.

As I'm sure many of you do, I try to shorten the vertigo attacks by locking onto a spot on the wall or ceiling and trying to prevent it from moving. But what happens when the spot IS ACTUALLY moving. How do you convince your brain that the world is still?

    Any cruise experience out there?

Most cruise ships are so huge that you won't feel the rocking at all. I've been on several and never had an issue.

Try to get a room where the beds point towards the front-back rather than to a side.

  3. I could never feel moving while on the boat, but had about a week of unsteadiness after I was home! As far as diet, there are SO many food options to choose from, you should be fine! Have fun and relax!!
