I just found out that I need two wisdom teeth on the right side of my face removed due to one of them being cracked. I am scared to death this may make my tinnitus even worse, but I must have it done. I already have sensitivity from this tooth, but but the bad tooth is on the right side of my face, not on the left side where my problematic ear is. I think I need to be put to sleep and not awake for this. I already hear two dental drills in my head 24 hours a day, along with a bass roar, and I don't want to hear any more. Has anyone had any experience with this? What should I tell the dentist? I found out that anesthesia is not covered by dental insurance and will cost me more than 800 bucks!
Hi Jimmy, I'll be rooting for you. Thankfully I haven't needed any dental work in a long time but I do understand the stress of mounting medical bills. Maybe the dentist could explain options, is twilight anesthesia effective and is it less expensive. On the bright side I've heard people say that they felt better after having dental work. Apparently it was causing problems that they were unaware of. Good luck to you.
Good luck! I was scared as well when they took mine out. Nothing bad happened, and i hope it's the same for you!
Ditto. I had major dental work done on the hydrops side i cluding i plants and bridge and no repercussions but i sure was nervous at the time.
