So, skipped my morning dose yesterday. I had some positive social time, and was able to focus on getting some tasks done. The sun came out. All good. But then I had a vertigo- what I call a sneak attack- no warning, but not quite a drop attack. It didn’t last long, but I was nauseated for a couple hours. So now I’m left to figure out if the Epival is indeed protective, and if it is causing too much side effect. Maybe I’ll check out some of the Migraine forums.
A week without vertigo, but I’m anxious, irritable, low mood, and heart rate sometimes up for no reason. Aaaaand... lab work shows some mild liver function abnormalities. Not sure if it’s from the Epival, Diamox or Valtrex... or lysine, or other supplements, Tylenol etc. Or something completely unrelated- fatty liver or hemochromatosis. I don’t drink, so at least I know it’s not that! My doc is fine for me to carry on with all my meds for now, though I’ll reduce the Epival dose, so I don’t bite anyone’s head off. We will recheck the labs in a couple weeks and then see. I wish Id done my liver tests before I started all these meds, to compare... but I was getting such frequent vertigo then, it was so difficult to make any plans beyond getting to the doc for referrals and prescriptions.
