Hi John Yes, I agree with what you are saying and in the drug companies favor remember reading about how if they want to license a drug for a new use, have to go through the whole clinical trial process again from start to finish including all the safety trials which have already been performed, rather than just the testing part to see if it works for the new application. But then again a quick check on Google shows that in the US alone there are around 615,000 menieres sufferers. It must be one of the "holy grail" of drugs where it doesn't cure the problem, but just keeps it dormant so you have to keep paying. Worldwide that has to stack up to a $million profit a day, no? I know that would be nothing against a cancer cure but drugs are being tested for diseases that have far less reach that this one.
