The whole body. It's as something throws you to the ground.

I've only had 1 drop attack and it was in 2008. Felt like the center of the earth was sucking me in.

I also had my worst attack of nystagnus immediately following. Not sure if there is a correlation or not.

Hi there I’m interested to understand the link with drop attacks/menieres and antiviral supplements. I’ve had menieres for about 9 years and had 3 drop attacks in the last 3 weeks. Have specialist apt next week and expect him to say I can no longer drive. Curious about healing holistically such as supplements as well as cranial neck work/exercises and low stress diet and wellbeing program. Keen to hear more from what you have discovered that’s helped. Thanks. Btw I don’t know how to PM I just joined this thread. Cheers Kassie

Hi Jon, I’ve found the medical study with all the evidence of menieres being caused by HSV infection in the inner ear. Can I ask, how long did you have menieres and did you have drop attacks and did all symptoms stop for you once you went on this acicyclovir protocol? I want to tell my specialist about your case/experience/success in support of the medical study I came across last night which is no doubt what you referred to.

I've had Meniere's for 20 years and have had a few drop attacks, all scary. I am severely bilateral, with a host of other health issues. Thanks to a cascade of surgeries, my symptoms have worsened in terms of dizziness, brain fog, tinnitus, some eye issues, decreased hearing comprehension. But so far, my last serious drop attack was last year, when I had one after getting a new hearing aid for my right ear. Lasted just long enough to catch the fourth finger of my right hand in an oven door as I went down, giving it a spiral fracture requiring surgery.

I do have what I would call as incipient or half drop attacks, when I start to go and grab something before it gets me to the ground. I can't afford any serious drop attacks now, as my bones are brittle and any fall will break more of them. Not that the disease cares.

Sadly, I can't help on meds. I take nothing for Meniere's now except the Dyazide I have been on for years. I tried everything listed by others here over the years. Nothing really helped. The key comment was made by an earlier poster--Meniere's is unique to each of us. Diabolical but true.
