I did a search for ear fluttering on past posts for this site, but nothing was said about vertigo attacks with it. I'm thinking on a really bad one awhile back, I had the ear pressure for a few days, then add the ear fluttering for a couple of days, then the attack. By the way, it is not the ear fluttering that is in sync with the heart beat that I've read about. It is just a random fluttering. And, it also happens when yawning, etc. From what I've read, it sounds like with menieres, it means a build up of fluid in the ear. And, nothing can be done about it. Anyone else use this as a gauge for a vertigo attack?

I have had ear fluttering on occasion. It usually lasts for a minute or two. I haven't associated it with a ramp up in Meniere's symptoms or with vertigo. I always wondered if it was similar to an eyelid twitch but really have no idea the cause.

The fluttering has basically stopped today... now it is just a thump... still not in sync with the heartbeat.

Very irritating... supposed to go for dental work today.
