After my last major attack a couple weeks back I've developed a soreness in my esophagus. But this isnt like a sore throat sore if that makes sense. It affects me mostly if I bend down to pick something up, feels swollen and generally uncomfortable. I'm wondering if this is delayed healing from the intense vomiting (there was blood), did I get a mild hernia, or is it like a reflux from the valacyclovir?

I dont know, I think you should see the family doctor. I have not heard of reflux from antivirals.

I would imagine it's more likely caused by the vomiting.
