In the full year 2013 not a single death in the US was attributed to any over the counter vitamin, mineral, or supplement (VMS). Isn't that reassuring; that VMSs caused no reported deaths for all of 2013? That certainly couldn't be said, of course, for prescription drugs, the ones that have been so much more thorougly tested and approved for safety by the FDA Read the details here: http://orthomolecular.org/resources/omns/v11n02.shtml I'll sleep better tonight knowing that the handful of VMSs I take each day are virtually never lethal. Thanks, FDA, for all you do to make this a reality. --John of Ohio
I hear ya John the FDA really falls short pertaining to the safety of prescription drugs, but what about all the other years before and after 2013 or is 2013 the only year of no deaths from VMS?.
It's good that they're safe. It would be better if they contained what they're supposed to contain. http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/02/03/new-york-attorney-general-targets-supplements-at-major-retailers/
