About a month ago I had BPPV and ever since I have been off. The BPPV was on the right side and an epley cleared up the spinning. I haven't gotten back to my "best" i.e. how I had been on avs for months previous. I don't feel any spinning. Constant dizziness/off feeling. No tinittus, my head isn't very full. I just feel like I am walking on a trampoline, which gives me some nausea and I don't feel confident to go in stores or really go outside the house. I don't know what to think. I stopped taking lysine about a month ago so I have started that back. Does this sound like MAV? I don't have smell, light, or sound sensitivities. I also do not ever, ever in my life, have headaches. Any help/opinions would be welcome.

yes it sounds like it could be mav, the symptoms you are experiencing are typical mav
Please read this post I made and take note of the image in it showing the difference between the 2 MM and MAV

Also, sometimes the antivirals take a couple months to really kick in.

I think it was June who said, "Three steps forward, one step back."

I hope you figure it out and feel better soon.

Gardengal, this may well be due to your general pissed-off psychical condition. If I were you, I would try to rise my mood up somehow. I went for some pills back then and they helped

Serbian, you went for antidepressants or something? I am trying to exercise and trying to avoid MAV trigger as well as high arginine food. I know the exercise is helping my mood. Can't say I am feeling less dizzy though. Hopefully this passes soon. Was looking forward to dizzy free holidays for the first time in years. :)

Hey Gardengal, I went for antianxyolitics after a recommendation from a psychiatrist. I take them still actually, as I am natural-born nervous wreck and this helps me to be stress-less. Is it a remission or AV, or JOH, or the antianxyolitics, but it is 8 months less one week I am vertigo free.

Well, with every passing day I am getting worse. I was on the couch all of today unable to care for my child. Baffled as to what the cause may be. Constant dizziness and nausea. Mini spins. I feel like I will have a rotational attack at any time.

I felt like that eight months ago, after two vertigo attacks in 8 days. Unstable, afraid to move, powerless...
Then, in app the same time, I started taking AV and venlafaxin ( Effexor XR). It took almost a month before I started to be OK again. Have been OK for right months less one day.

The thing is I have been on 3000gm/day valcyclovir for 6 months. So not sure where to go from here as far as treatments. Or is it ok that AV is allowing this flare up? Maybe it will work again? Wish I had a crystal ball. I have been avoiding MAV trigger foods and drinks for 2 weeks and still getting worse.

Damn gardengal. I'm feeling for you. I have been on Valacyclovir for a year now. It took 3 months to begin to work. I still think that OPC should get some of the credit for my improvement

I still take OPC. And 3,000 of valacyclovir

I was feeling so good a couple of weeks ago so I dropped down to 1,000 mg of valacyclovir but I almost got vertigo. The real vertigo. It's a feeling you never forget. However it only lasted about 10 seconds. So, I am back to 2 or 3,000
    Mgs per day

I have had some bouts with some dizziness over the last eight months, other than that 10 second vertigo the other day I have been vertigo free.

Vicki Could be right you could also have MAV
    Best of health to You

Yeah santa, I have that sinister feeling of real vertigo every moment for the last three days straight. I am just stuck in bed. This doesn't sound like other ppls "setbacks" so I am quite panicked. I thought I found my "control" (I know not to say cure) but it feels with every passing day that my control is gone. I don't know what to do next. Has anyone ever taken 4g/day?

Do you think you might have the flu as well?

Haven't heard of anyone taking 4 mgs.
