I wrote this poem for a Meniere's member a number of years ago. I don't know if it applies to either of your friends.
I have never claimed to be much of a poet, I just have a little fun doing it.

I wasn’t put on earth to be anyone's doormat
That's not the way a friend treats a friend
I wasn't born to be used and sorely abused
Time will show who’s the loser in the end

You mistook caring and kindness for weakness
Taking advantage of someone’s love, so true
There's one thing that I will never give into
My heart won’t grow hard because of you

My eyes have been opened to the likes of you
Pack your ego and shame, and walk out my door
So you can take your worn-out, selfish attitude
And don't come back bothering me anymore

The time has come to wipe away wasted tears
Let the new day’s rains wash away past sorrow
Return joy and happiness to my heart and soul
As I smile and move toward a better tomorrow

Thank you so much and YES this is perfect!

I'm trying so hard to help. Both women are in totally different situations. One was surprised and one has fought a battle for years with an unfaithful husband and lie upon lie.
Both women need some help not to fall into a depression and move on as best they can.
I think these poems each other a different quality that gets the sentiment through.

I think your poetry is wonderful.
