First of all thank you to everyone on this platform working so hard to provide helpful information. My mom suffers from hydrops. She’s gets roaring, and fluctuating fullness. I know many people suffer from vertigo and I’m thankful in our case she does not. She has started on the JOH regimen. Does anyone know if there are any additional supplements she should add when your targeting the fullness vs vertigo? Or anything on JOH she doesn’t need to take? She recovered from this in the past, and it’s been 5+ years since then. Like moat people every ENT says to go on the low salt diet with a diuretic but she has had zero relief with that. She is also going to the infared sauna as much as possible and we think that might be helping a bit. Thanks in advance for any advice and I will share along the way to hopefully help others.

Bump, would love a post dedicated to studying aural fullness -- its mechanisms, triggers, and treatments that target it specifically.

My experience: The only thing that seemed to clear my fullness (i.e, reduced the frequency and severity slowly over the course of a few months until it was completely gone) was 500mg 2x/day of Famciclovir. However, I've recently had a flare-up again after a few months, so I am planning to restart on a higher dose.
For me, the fullness ebbs and flows throughout the day and almost feels like excess fluid that has leaked into my eustachian tube, relieved momentarily through swallowing / Valsalva maneuver / moving the oral cavity. Lots of ear clicking during fullness episodes as I subconsciously try to clear it.
