    This is another poem in my book published last year. This is the first poem about Meniere's that was NOT written while in a bout or coming out of one. In my writings I always refer to this as a dragon which needs slaying. Galar Meniere's is Gaelic for Meniere's Disease.

    Galar Meniere’s

    [size=18pt]Talons extended
    with fiery breath,
    he swoops in and
    couldn’t care less.

    Helpless, defenseless,
    his prey does not see,
    he acts with vengeance, and
    not a shred of decency.

    From the depths of the unknown
    he rose up one day,
    snatching the innocents,
    hurling them to the fray.

    Tis not a day to go by
    I don’t wish for a knight,
    to wield Excalibur
    and end our brutal plight.

    Four centuries long,
    and years many more,
    he’s stalked the blameless
    till all of life they abhor.

    Ne’er will it end,
    as we remain the brave;
    till either the victim
    or dragon lay in a grave.
