I had very good results with Valacyclovir, which I started in September 2014. I even got some hearing back.

Last fall I started not doing quite as well. More stuffed ear, more dizziness, louder tinnitus, worse hearing (but that could be something else, another story). I thought it was because it was a bad allergy season, but the allergy season ended, and it didn't get better.

I noticed that my Valacyclovir bottles said the generic brand was Cadista, and I knew it used to be Ranbaxy. I called the pharmacy and learned that the change in brand occurred at the time my symptoms worsened. So I had them make a special request for Ranbaxy (thank you, Kaiser Permanente).

I started taking the Ranbaxy Valacyclovir again last week, and my tinnitus is quieter, I have less dizziness, and my ear is clearing better (such a relief). It happened within a couple days.

Always good to have this "list". For me Northstar works great but Milan all symptoms return.
