Seven days ago I woke up to a ton of mucus going from my sinuses down the back of my throat. A steady stream. I started using bulb syringe with saline solution to clean out sinuses. A lot of gross mucus came out. The bright yellow/green kind. Of course, their was a lot of clear mucus also. I didn't blow my nose for fear of blowing it up into Eustachian tube. I also use Flonase, which I started using last Summer.

This morning I woke up to Glue Ear. It's pretty much the same as aural fullness. Or, it is aural fullness. I can barely hear my fingers rubbing outside my ear and the left side of my head is full.

I still have lots of mucus.

I can see how if this mucus goes through the Eustachian tube and into the middle ear it can cause exactly what I am experiencing.

I've been researching how to clear up the mucus in the middle ear and I am not convinced anything I have read actually works. I saw some interesting things on youtube, also.

    Any thoughts?

yellow/green mucous can mean a bacterial infection, you might need an antibiotic

I was thinking the same thing.

So,either when you have sinus/allergy problems it turns into an infection. For anyone, not just Menieres sufferers.

Yesterday around 2 I bought some Mucinex. I took it at 2, 6 and 10. I woke up this morning with clear ear. Yippee!!

Hearing above %50 percent of right ear.

I'm still going to the Dr and get a prescription for antibiotics, hoping I won't need to take them, but have them just in case.

I think it's all related, the mucous, ear, sinus is all one IMO. You may have mm but according to a post by centrallanding and Vicki (prior) it is an antigen causing problems in the Endo Sac.

Where the antigen is and what it is is anybody's guess, probably been there for years.
Don't discount the abx's if it can clear the infection, that may be your problem/ a smoldering sub clinical infection.

    Good luck
