Here is his site, he has some interesting theories about how to treat hydrops. Has anyone used his services?

There might be some threads on this especially if you search the old forum archives.

Thanks James. I didn't see anything via the search bar, I'll dig a little harder.

Here is the best thread on this topic. Gosh I miss all those old members. That James on their is me.Forgot about this treatment.Don't ever know what happened with the person who was supposed to have tried it.

It also seems slow to load,at least on my computer.

James, thank you so much for finding this! Super helpful. Does anyone know if "SweetTater" ever tried Dr. La Torre's treatment? I have had one consult with him. I am drinking the 3 liters of water per day but have not moved on to the diet yet. I'm also dubious about taking Paxil (had awful side effects when I tried it about 2 years ago). But I'm willing to try most anything so I may do it.

Hello, any way to get to those old discussions, I'm getting "The requested page could not be found." in both cases?

Any new advice on the efficacy of this gentleman's protocols?

Haven't consulted with him but have read through his website. Which wasn't the easiest as his site is written in Italian. I used google translate to convert. Still, the conversion wasn't the best, ok, but not great.

He suggests that the hormone that maintains blood sodium levels (ADH -antidiuretic hormone) isn't at the correct levels. Apparently there's a medication to correct that. Plus, a number of other steps to help with symptoms. Like you say, Paxil, etc. Claims to have cured people with this approach. He does say though, that his treatment is a combo or modification of existing treatments. I think the multiple approach is best too.

I've pasted some info from his website below, as to his therapy.

The treatment I conceived and proposed to my patients involves the combination, in different ways based on some specific characteristics of the patient or the disorders and the results achieved, of different synergistic pharmacological and non-pharmacological components , aimed at counteracting hydrops , mainly (but not only) by creating a specific antagonism towards the action of the antidiuretic hormone (ADH) which we know to be the main regulator of labyrinthine liquids. In reality, there is nothing new or experimental . What I did was only modify (often overturn) therapies already known but ineffective if used in isolation, combine them and evaluate their effects. Frequently updated, the therapy has already been proposed since 1998 and the patients treated are already many thousands but, unfortunately, even if in small steps (" gutta cavat lapidem "?) and with a long delay, other doctors begin to understand the basic concepts, still in form complete as it really is, just me.
