My computer crashed so I haven't been around for awhile.

My success started when I switched to valacyclovir. My fullness went away. I stopped having vertigo.

But, then I stopped taking JOH's regimen and within two weeks I was back to fullness. Still no vertigo.

I stayed with just the valacyclovir for awhile and was not getting better. Stayed full all the time and tinnitus was screaming. Almost deaf. Couldn't hear fingers rubbing next to left ear.

Two weeks ago I added back JOH's regimen and about 6 weeks ago I added 8,000 iu of vitamin D3. I also purchased the labeled "pycnogenol" from vitacost (instead of the cheaper "Pine Bark,") and I bought the Lemon Bioflavinoids from Linberg.

About two weeks ago the fullness went away and the brain fog. Wooooohooooo!!!!! tinnitus is still screaming :p But, my hearing seems to be slowly improving. I can hear my fingers rubbing next to my left ear. The hearing in my left ear is probably about 30% compared to my right ear, but I do believe it's getting better.

No Vertigo since November 20th. Wooooooohoooooo!!

Tinnitus is still high pitched screaming and I have noticed some in my right ear. :(

It seems as though I get punished every time I post something positive about my progress.

Saturday I didn't take any meds or supp's until 2:00 in the afternoon. Sure enough I get the feeling vertigo is coming on. I stumble to the kitchen and take both and within an hour I am feeling better. Still drained feeling, but not bad. Then yesterday I again had the feeling of vertigo coming on. Took my meds and supps and the bad feeling only lasted an hour.

So, I guess I am still having success. I know many here say it's two steps forward and one step backwards.

I'm ready to do some more "Two Stepping!!"

You should take the meds and supplements same time every day, I don't think you are stepping backwards, I think you are getting symptoms due to not taking them early enough in during the day.
I take my maintenance dose in the mornings to protect me throughout the day.

If you are taking av's that are not maintenance dose then you need to spread them throughout the day at even intervals.

I think you are so right about spreading them out as evenly as possible.

The lysine is the hardest one due to the fact ----Take 20 minutes before eating or two hours after eating.

I had a good day today. Two stepping!!

The past two days I had the vertigo feeling start but it didn't develop into full blown vertigo. It only lasted about 10 minutes, but it still drained me of my energy for a couple hours.

keep us posted; switching to valacylovir helped me also;just wonder how long it will take the bastard virus to figure it's way around it;still have all symptoms but seem to be doing a little better most days. long drives like yesterday aren't pleasant to my system/ stress is my worst enemy/ear is still roaring from work this week/

deadeye, do you have any MAV symptoms? if so you may have both MM and MAV and that could be why antivirals don't help 100%, you would need to address both issues to get more relief.

Discipline and consitancy. Not my strong points yet motivation not to suffer is even stronger. It's working ;)
