first year of getting blood work results and having a high lymphocyte count. Being sent to a blood specialist for further evaluation. Definitely concerning since cancer does not run in family.I was reading that Miniere's will cause this. Anyone had the same situation
I had a type of high lymphocytes, they were the type that appear in cases of allergies, but they appear due to any small allergic reaction even if you don't have symptoms like in my case. There are theories that Meniere's may be caused by allergies, viruses, or autoimmune disease. Any of them will cause you to have a high lymphocyte count I think, but also to have a small cold for example. It is best to do more tests to rule out more serious things like cancer.
I have been there before. I have allergies too so was pretty easy for mine to be explained. Much like Ivan said there is a developing theory for autoimmune and Meniere's. In my case it appears I had a viral infection when I was 16 that cause an autoimmune response in my inner ear. When I had a shunt, they found my endolymphatic sac was nothing more than scar tissue. But always better to have those results looked at by a specialist. The risk is too high is they miss something.
met with blood doctor this past week.Had more labs drawn and still high..3 times now with the high result..Go back to him next week
