Acyclovir Valacyclovir famciclovir. There is a suspicion that Ménière’s is caused by herpes virus infecting the ear, even the virus that causes shingles and chicken pox

Last month I had vertigo everyday and that was the first time within a year. Now I stick to my low sodium diet, drink a lot of water (mix with pedialite), take a diuretic, and workout once a day. Haven’t had vertigo since, so I’m glad I found something that works for me but everyone is different!
I just recently went to a rollercoaster park, it was rough but tolerable, so we’ll see how it affects me.

In the rarest group with Meniere's, I have watched things get worse. I now experience three types of bouts. My normal bouts went from lasting 48 hours before my second surgery June 2016 to now lasting 18-24 hours. A year and a half ago I added on what I call mini bouts. These start with violent nausea lasting five minutes to extreme vertigo lasting about an hour and ten 20 minutes to recover. More recently I began experiencing what I dub demi bouts. These last several hours. Regular bouts and demi bouts I just take the vertigo medication and go to bed till it is over. Mini bouts, I can sometimes fend off a few times, but then lie on the couch holding on for dear life till recovered.
