[size=14pt][size=18pt]Nearly a year ago, things were so bad with me that I wanted to end it all. I set the date and began looking for a plan. I believe I said so within this forum. I just finished replying to the PMs that were sent to me here pleading for me to reach out. One, from JustRose, I was unable to reply to as it told me she cannot receive PMs. I figured I would just post here and let y'all know that I have returned to the forums and I am doing better.

Yes, I still have bilateral Meniere's. Yes, I still have the constant tinnitus and the hearing loss from it. Yes, I am still physically alone. For the most part things have not changed in my world. What has changed is... well.... I'm not to sure. Perhaps 'changed' is the wrong word to use. I have worked hard with my meditations and letting go of things. I am de-stressing my life and it will be a continued event. If there is negativity, I walk away for a while and refuse to be near it. Not an easy task with an election year coming up here in the states.

We are all here because we, or someone we care about, is fighting the same wretched dragon. We each have our own journey, our own separate issues. Some of us have loved ones around who care and are there to help, others do not. Some of us continue to live full lives doing many of the things we have always done, others cannot. As a writer, after my failed Endolumphatic Sac Decompression surgery in February 2006, my doctors suggested I write a book as there was not much legitimate info out there regarding Meniere's disease. I began my research and the first thing I learned was that every single person diagnosed with Meniere's is different. We are different in our symptoms, our triggers and in what can help us.

With this in mind, we need to focus on what we have in common. We are all fighting a beast that has no known cause and no known cure. We can help each other if we remember we are all different. We are here to build each other up as individual human beings, not tear each other down even further than this dragon brings us down.

Coming out of this last bout a week ago, I had an idea (I usually get some pretty good ideas while the brain is still in the mist. I am considering putting together a video series to add to my YouTube channel to help educate people about Meniere's disease. Perhaps the more we educate the masses the better we will be able to cope with this in the public arena. Just an idea.

Anyway, I am returned to the forums and doing better. I thank all y'all for your kind words, thoughts and positive energy during my troubling time.

I am so glad you're mental state is better. We were all very worried about you.

New strides are being made with Menieres everyday. You will see that when you read through the threads in the living room.

It seems like you put an awful lot of pressure on yourself. Sometimes you need to breathe through what comes and look to the other side of the tunnel...

    And here you are!

    welcome back Debbie,
glad you are feeling better about things. There are new treatments, new non invasive surgeries, and more on the horizon. The ear is now considered to be the new eye in way of research. A lot of research is being done now that may help us all with vestibular problems.

Good luck with your youtube series on Meniere's, sounds like a great idea!
