Went to the dentist yesterday for a cleaning. Background: I've had two molars get root canals and crowns. One had to be pulled several years later when I experienced pain. First I was prescribed antibiotics which helped for a couple of weeks. Pain started up and Dr said "HE" could pull it. Well, he got the crown off but the tooth broke and he couldn't get out. They called the oral surgery center and I drove right there to have it pulled. I experienced immense pain. NOW I have another tooth that has had a root canal and crown and I'm having some pain. Dr says we will try the antibiotic again, then my other options are to see a root canal specialist or have it pulled. (YES we do have a money tree sitting in the back yard just waiting to be picked dry! HA!) Dilemma: I have a molar that requires a root canal and crown... I said, " what would be the point of that if after a few years I'll need it pulled anyway?" So I'll call him tomorrow and request the script to have both teeth pulled. It just seems logical.
Shivers! That would just freak me out. My friend/husky breeder just had one of her dogs bit on the side of his mouth by a snake. They aren't sure if the dog will make it. : ( Sit and rest all day, I think not!
