If you are sedated, can you still have a vertigo attack?

In another post, Bumblebee brought up the idea of sedation for dental work. This leads to a question...

If you are sedated, and something triggers a vertigo attack, such as your head is moved in a way that would normally bring on a vertigo attack...would you have a vertigo attack under sedation and/or would it bring you out of sedation? Or, would you have the effects of the attack, sick, etc., upon waking up?

Interesting concept thinking if the crystals, or whatever they are called in the ear move... that bring on vertigo attacks.

The crystals would be BPPV not Menieres. As far as sedation, I do not know.

I've been sedated for medical procedures. I've been sedated for oral surgery. I've never had a problem.
