There isn't a test. There is nothing that says, "We checked X, you have Y." In the future, perhaps. Now? Not currently on the horizon though I'll gladly take a pointer. There is some work being done on much more accurate MRI scans but they're a ways out. (At least that's what my doc mentioned the other day while he was shooting steroids into my ear ...)
