Is this one attack or two?

Last night around 9:30 I felt an attack coming on. I immediately took a valium. It lasted until 3:30 this morning. Got a few hours of sleep and got up at 7:30. Got ready for work and started having that feeling again. Another valium. Within 30 minutes I was on the couch unable walk and feeling like I was on satan's merry go round. This time the valium didn't help and it was a full blown attack that lasted until around 2:00 this afternoon. I'm still a little woozy and off balance. Do you think the one last night is the same one as the one today or are they separate attacks. I got about a four hour break between the two.

I am not sure, but I would say separate. I hope you feel better.

I think recently you said you got the anti-viral. Forgive me if I am wrong.

My hope is the anti-virals will eventually help. As JOH has said hit the virus long and hard.

I'm still working on my ent about the antivirals. A couple of weeks ago he gave me a round of oral prednisone. That did absolutely nothing. I"m on JOH regimen. I need some relief quickly.

To me, an attack is from the minute vertigo starts, until it ends. So, I'd say they were separate.

So sorry you're getting hit so hard and hope that it will pass soon.

Unfortunately I would say 2 attacks, I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. I hope you can try an antiviral to see if it helps. If your symptoms are caused by a HSV, then try and watch your diet. make sure to have your daily intake of lysine more than arginine, but if you are taking 3000 mg of lysing on JOH that should do it I would think. Lysine suppresses the HSV but takes longer to do that than an AV.

I think the initial attack triggered the second attack.
I have no evidence to substantiate it but I've had attacks just like that.

I'm sorry you're suffering. I know how that feels.

Hopefully your Dr will try the Antivirals.
Steroid treatments did nothing for me either.

Moodymom27 I am so sorry to hear you are suffering. The same thing happened to me on one ocassion . I had a bad attack then a two hour break and another one. It was the day when I ended up in ER due to dehydration . I hope you get AVs, stay on JOH and I would suggest that you try Lauricidin al well. Lulu described in detail its effects. I also started taking it- anything to beat the beast!! The more the better !!
