Hi Susan, If I were to go off of them I know my symptoms would come back, so I choose to stay on them for the long term unless a cure is found ofc.

My symptoms are caused by an HSV virus, and there is no medications or anything that kills a virus. W/O taking a maintenance dose of an AV, to keep the virus suppressed I am fairly certain my symptoms would return. I am certain because when my immune system gets weakened from allergies fatigue, illness etc, I need to increase my dose because I start to feel imbalance or dizzy or possibly a pending vertigo, if I don't. So this makes me sure w/o taking a daily dose of an AV I would be back to square 1.

There are some that choose not to and go back on them if they get a vertigo attack again.

But I suffered with Meniere's for most of my life, started at 13 and I am 63 now. There is no way I ever want to go through another vertigo attack again if I can help it.
