I never thought I had MAV in all the years I have MM. But once my MM symptoms got under control from being on acyclovir, my MAV symptoms and triggers became very apparent. Same for seasonal allergies. I have had seasonal allergies them but since my MM symptoms are under control they seem to be worse, and other allergic reactions are occurring, nothing serious, before I could not wear any silver jewelry but gold was always fine, now I can't wear gold either I feel itchy all over. My allergist said its more likely the other metal they mix with gold. Anyone else notice the same thing once their MM symptoms got under control?
I'll let you know as soon as I get these MM symptoms under control. I've been on acyclovir for 7 weeks now. First three weeks the antivirals gave me vertigo every or every other day. Then the next four weeks/present my ear has been full and loud, BUT NO vertigo. I had a few times this past week where I thought, 'oh, Boy, here comes vertigo. But, it only lasted a few seconds. I have been throwing everything at MM, Acyclovir and JOH's regime. A few years back maybe as many as five was the first time I got seasonal allergies. My symptoms were waking every morning with a head full of snot. I would spend the first 10-15 minutes blowing and coughing up snot. It was So sticky it would get caught in my throat and gag me. (hope nobody is eating while reading this) The seasonal allergies just started again this morning. Almost Fall here in Tallahassee. The Good news is I have my first ever appointment with an Allergist this Wednesday. Lately I have been catching myself saying 'getting old ain't for sissies.' Now, I'm adding getting MM and allergies ain't for sissies. Stay Strong! Good Health to You!
Thanks Santa my MAV symptoms are under control, over the last year I found my MAV triggers, and seasonal allergies lower my threshold for MAV triggers and for MM vertigo so I always increase my acyclovir and that keeps away MM vertigo, and things I can eat at other times of the year like yogurt, aged chesses etc will trigger MAV during the spring. So I stay away from MAV foods at that time. Not sure about the fall which is about now in NYC but I am sure I will find out very soon.
Yes, not that i have MAV but once i got one layer of symptoms controlled with antivirals, i could see another layer which responded to allergy shots. Before the antivirals i couldnt make heads or tales of cause and effect.
