    Hi, all

    I am currently getting together the supplements to begin the John of Ohio regimen. I don’t have MM, but have had Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD) for two years which was caused by ear barotrauma which occurred when I took a flight when I had a mild cold. Like MM, ETD seems to be a widespread problem that is difficult to overcome – likely due to poor circulation to the middle ear/sinus tissues.

    I was wondering if anyone has experience combing the JOH regimen with the Carnivore diet? This all-meat diet has become popular in recent years and has helped many people achieve remission from a variety of health ailments – including a few anecdotal accounts of people who have overcome tinnitus (Hearing Archives | MeatRx).

    I think the carnivore diet could potentially work in combination with John’s supplement regimen for the following reasons:

    • it would allow one to get a super-dose of bio-available Lysine directly from meat rather than a supplement (approx 18g Lysine per day when consuming 800g beef);

    • the meat provides an abundance of B vitamins, particularly niacin (B3) which should also enhance vasodilation;

    • no food allergens to contribute to inflammation;

    • increased iron, helping to build more red blood cells to carry oxygen to inflamed/injured tissues.

    It’d be interesting to know if anyone has tried this combination already. I’ll report back in a couple of months with my experience.

    edit: D'oh – didn't proof-read the thread title. Apologies!
