Yes, I do take the Lysine everyday.

I'm down to the last of Valcyclovir only taking 1 per day. That's what I would do with Acyclovir, one a day.

June: how long did you continue taking antiviral before you stopped?

There are blood tests that will tell you if you are a carrier of HSV1 or HSV2. The tests look for DNA traces of the viruses in your blood. I am not sure about varicella-zoster (chicken pox)

    They are over 90% accurate

But when I was a single lad. I had STD tests every 2 years just for safety sake and I always have tested HSV1 Postive and HSV2 negative

In regard to viral testing understand that there are no data or studies showing in any way that herpes virus componants or their immunological markers can be detected in normal herpes virus blood tests.

The herpes viruses in the inner ear or its associated nerves, causing Meniere's symtoms, may not be the same as the common herpes viruses blood tests detect, or, there simply aren't enough molecular artifacts from the minute infection to be detected.

Would you give the citation for this please? There are tests for all these herpes viruses and almost every adult has had most of these viruses if that is what you mean by 'carrier'. So what exactly would you be testing for?
