Hi I am new on the forum and not sure where to post this, so I chose the living room.
I was diagnosed with Meniere's in April 2017. I have all the symptoms but I was confused while reading about it on the Internet because it says that the attack of vertigo usually lasts several hours. My vertigo started in February and it is still here. I read on this forum that there is some migraine associated vertigo that can last for several months. I am a migraine sufferer for 22 years and now I am confused about the reason for my vertigo. It doesn't really matter but I would like to know. My hearing loss, tinnitus and migraine are much "older" than the vertigo. So if someone knows something about this I would like to hear (read) about that.

I was diagnosed with Meniere's about March 2017 and started on anti viral medication, and a 800 mg sodium diet. I feel better now than I have in years. I don't have tinnitus but have had fluctuating hearing loss in my left ear for about 27 years and maybe a dozen episodes of vertigo sometimes with vomitting. Once when I didn't know I was having vertigo, thought maybe the flu, I finished my worked day, was barely able to drive home and vomitted for about 8 hours so I sit or lie down now when I start feeling dizzy, off balance or have difficulty focusing my eyes.
I too get migrains, not often, maybe I've had 20 in 40 years. Zomig usually enables me to fuction within 2 hours.
I've read a lot and what I understand is that symptoms can be caused by different diseases or syndromes. For me I am finally taking better care of myself - rarely eating processed foods, eating more fruits and vegetables, more meditation and I'm trying to be more active.
I find this site not only a great source of what people have tried that helps but incredible support.

    Sorry Biljana,

I don't know much about migrains. But here are two good websites on Meniere's. The first is very well known in the dizzy community.
