Has anyone had the issue of being a Meniere's patient who never had trouble taking medications that now can not tolerate any meds without causing their Meniere's symptoms to return with a vengance? As an example, I have tried every diuretic in the book. Every one of them does what its supposed to however, after taking one for a few days, I have vertigo that will not stop. I conclude the pill is the problem, stop taking it, and within a few days am virtually vertigo symptom free. Any long term maintenance drugs such as dieuretics, blood pressure meds, vitamins, etc..literally anything causes my vertigo to go wild. When I discontinue all drugs, my menieres is very much at bay. The condition i was being treated for, example high blood pressure, goes untreated. Since becoming a Meniere's patient seven years ago, all meds cause me the same issue. Can anyone help? I have been searching for seven years, have tried over 50 different meds for high preasure, cholesterol, daily vitamins and never found anything that works.
If blood pressure control is your primary concern, it can be effected in ways other than medicine. I imagine there can be other things that cause it, but the primary cause of high blood pressure is excessive carbohydrate consumption that produces hyperinsulinism. It's not the fat intake that causes America to be so unhealthy, its carbohydrate consumption. The average American eats around 150LBS of refined white sugar annually. If you look at a graff of US fat consumption and CHD incidence over the last 40 years, CHD has exploded while fat consumption has fallen. Why? If fat is the cause, surely CHD would have fallen as well! If you look at a graff of sugar consumption, it correlates nicely with the rise in CHD. The crossfit folks have a really good grip on how to produce really healthy people without medicine. Coach Glassman is awesome. He's got a foul mouth but I love listening to him. My experience is that what the traditional MD's have in their protocol mdeicine cabinets created far more side affects than help. After dropping most of it and starting JOH and AV's the improvement started to happen. There are many blood pressure approaches these days that may prove less detrimental than drugs. Probably more trial and error is requred to find what works. Best of luck!
