Some tinnitus sufferers apparently find that small amounts of alcohol assist in tinnitus control (Goodey, 1981). Of theoretical and practical interest is the nature of the assistance. If the primary contribution of alcohol is to general relaxation and improved coping ability, that is far different from an actual physiological effect on tinnitus magnitude.

I got cohclear hydrops ten days after i stopped smoking. Maybe clean living is the primary cause of deafness.
