Hey all I haven't posted in a white, I'm James from then UK I'm 29 years old, and primarily had menieres in my right ear I am fortunate to have had only a few dizzy attacks, but lost most of my hearing in my right ear. Being a full time musician it's been hard but I managed with my Left good ear till the last month, I had been exerpering tintius I my left good ear and all of sudden I am getting days of muffled hearing in my good ear and fullness, it's left me unable To hear notes and everything sounds out of tune. It's shattered my Life. I have Been to the hospital and said I have lost some of my lower hearing but can't explain why I can't hear notes anymore or pitch? Anyone have any similar experience or advice? It comes in waves of every 4 days when I just can't hear then goes back to normal? Anyone here from the UK had any luck getting anti virals? Please excuse grammar and spelling wrote this on my iPhone X
Hi James, I'm not from England. I'm sorry to hear about your problems with music. I think most of us can relate to that. There have been a lot of positive posts about antivirals here. My Meniere's came in the 1970's before antivirals were available. Fortunately, for me cochlear implants have markedly improved the sound of music. It took a lot of work, but now I can hear vocals and individual instruments with no distortion. Music sounds just like it did back in the 1960's. Do a Google search for "Musicians with cochlear implants." You might be pleasantly surprised. Best regards, Jim
