Several people had asked me to follow up with results from the 2 Clinical Trials I was in last year. Well...here you go. https://soundpharma.com/sound-pharmaceuticals-announces-positive-phase-1b-results-and-the-start-of-a-phase-2b-clinical-trial-in-menieres-disease/ feel free to ask any questions...happy to help!
They never told me if I actually received the drug each time or placebo. That being said...it was pretty obvious. This first round in May I saw significant improvement. Rather quickly. The fullness went down. The dizziness was reduced greatly. I even saw improvement in my hearing. It went from 75db loss to 55db loss. Which was amazing. Also much better scoring in clarity. went from like 50 to 80%. I am 99 percent sure I got the drug in May. Unfortunately my MM flared up (virus) again in late August and I was back in the trial in October. This time I saw no improvement. I am 99 percent sure I got the Placebo this time. Total bummer. This drug is not a cure. However it basically does what oral steroids are supposed to do but don't. They greatly reduce the inflammation. I am really hoping they get solid phase 2 numbers as well. Their phase 1 numbers were amazing. If this drug successfully comes to market...it will be a huge help in my opinion. Problem is that's probably 5-7 tears away. Thank the FDA for that. Hope this helps!
