I am a new member on this great website. I have been dealing with MM or going on 7 years now. I've gone from one ENT to another finally settled on one that finally gave the reason to my episodes of vertigo, tinnitus, ear stuffiness, sound sensitivity and hearing loss. But unfortunately he hasn't been able to cure it. Which I guess is normally the case. Depressing. My vertigo has been cut down some to only one or two episodes a month then I pop a diazepam and pass out in bed until it passes. The tinnitus is somewhat covered by hearing aid white noise. Better than nothing. The ear fullness hasn't improved. Working in a music store doing instrument repairs, trying to play guitar and sing have become a major obstacle. I just turned 64 have come to the conclusion to take early retirement and try to survive. Now that I given you my story I first must say I feel lucky. Compared to some of the stories I've read I almost feel guilty about even complaining. But when you think you are the only one dealing with a disease that hardly anyone has even heard of you start to get a bit depressed. When I found this website it showed me I'm not alone and there are many others dealing with the same issues and feeling the same emotions. Thanks for existing and giving me another sense of hope. Thank you Vicki for your help in giving me advice on the website. To give a little more medical background on me I have had a seizure disorder since I was around 20. I take 300mgs of Dilantin a day. I have also had depression since even earlier in life and now take Effexor. Had a somewhat wild past. Drugs, alcohol etc. I no longer do anything except coffee which it looks like I am going to have to give up OH NO!!! I'm ending my allergy shots and only seeing the ENT when totally necessary because of money. I am going to try the JOH plan and would like to ask John if I should eliminate taking a multivitamin or anything else he can see is a problem? Also does anyone know what works best with the ear fullness? Thanks for listening.
Hi Michael glad you got your thread on the forums and you are very welcome JOH should hopefully be around soon to answer your questions. about his regime. Good luck!
Thanks for your message John I have already talked to my Dr and he didn't think there would be any problem. Especially by taking it slowly adding one item at a time. Thanks.
