Hello, I am brand new to this board. There are a lot of posts on here and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed at the information that is out there. I’d like to give my back story. In 2008 fall I started to get my symptoms. It started off with rumbling in my ears then progressed to fullness then attacks. Attacks were not drop attacks at first. Blah blah I found that I was ingesting a lot of aspartame and cut that out and poof. Most all my symptoms went away. Went back to eating and drinking what I wanted to. No more attacks. Fast forward to 2014 summer I go on Humira for Psoriasis. In November 2014 after being on the humira for a few months I get these terrible staph infections. I go off the humira temporarily and let the staph infections clear up. Since my immune system was lowered they put me on very very strong antibiotics. January 2015 (still on antibiotics) I have a drop attack. It knocks me off my feet at work and I am taken to the hospital not even thinking it was the Meniere’s until I get there and I puke. I went back on humira in march 2015 and begin benedryl every night. MY ent also has me on glycopyrolate which is a drug most commonly used for sedated patients to keep them from drooling. May 2015 I enter into TMJ therapy with a device I wore 24/7 for 6 months then at night until July 2016 when I stopped the program as no change in the disorder. I continued to have tinnitus, attacks, swimmy head, vertigo all the stuff we put up with. Since then my bad ear “right” has experienced fullness and attacks continue to come on sporadically. I am fearful it has now possibly moved into my left ear I must say reading the information about the antivirals and antifungals has me giddy. Most intriguing to me is the candida that can be brought on by being on anti antibiotics. It just seems awful coincidental I go an antibiotics for a lengthy period and all a sudden I’m having attacks again. I’d be pleased to hear anyones opinion
