For the past 60 days I have been in the worst Ménière’s Disease flare of my life. Vestibular migraines, daily vertigo, frequently going to the ER after vomiting for days. My ENT was very little help so I turned to my neurologist this week for some respite-if he had any. I went into his office bawling and puking and without missing a beat he said we needed to try an Occipital Nerve Block to calm down my brain stem and auditory nerve signals. I was skeptical and it was painful but it worked instantly. My dizziness was cut by 75-80 percent. I haven’t thrown up in 2 days, my nystagmus has calmed almost completely. I haven’t had a vestibular migraine attack either. I also was able to sleep without spinning. I don’t know if this is a fluke or is directly correlated with the Nerve Block-just hope the respite last for awhile. Note: the tinnitus has not left-it seems worse-for some reason.
Has anyone else had lasting results with Ménière’s disease remission and nerve block treatment?

That sounds like a killer attack. I am glad he was able to help you.
I have never heard of the Occipital Nerve Block before, so thanks for sharing.
