I am new and Meniere's is all new to me. Can you please advise starting from the beginning (meaning I have not had any treatment before), what the dose of Famvir / Famcyclovir should be for the initial round and for how long before decreasing the dose, and I don't know if there is a round in between that, but what ever that dose would be and for how long and then the maintenance dose. Also how much to increase and for how long if I have a flare up while on it? I am hoping to get answers quickly because I need to go the doctor as soon as possible with this. Thank you so much!
Hi Shalome... First off...take a deep breath and let it out slow... If you do have Meniere's, keep in mind that it's a marathon and not a foot race. Have you been diagnosed with Meniere's? If so, your doctor is the one to determine the "how much, and when" for medications. They should also be able to answer your other questions. Are you seeing and ENT, or a Neurotologist?
