Two years ago, I made many decisions about my overall health. One of them was joining a gym, both for its general health benefits and because I weighed 52 kg (115 lbs) at a height of 1.78 meters (5'10") and wanted to gain muscle mass.

To achieve this, I also changed my diet, increasing my protein intake, vegetables, and fruit. In addition, I bought protein shakes. From what I've seen, it's actually flavored skimmed milk powder, but reading the nutritional information, I saw that it contains a significant amount of lysine (10g per 100g) and very little arginine (2g per 100g).

So, I stopped taking my maintenance lysine supplement and only consumed this shake, and after two years, I haven't noticed any changes in my condition. In fact, since going to the gym, I've gained weight, reaching 61 kg (134 lbs), and my hearing has improved somewhat. I'm not saying there's a correlation, but at least my hearing hasn't worsened.
