Saltless River Of Sorrow

I wrote this last year as part of my book which was published on Amazon.

Saltless River Of Sorrow

Tossed into the uncharted depths
where unbridled tears abide
in a river which rolls
as deep as it is wide.

Never waning,
no ebb and flow,
but a whirlpool of rapids
which toss to and fro.

Nightmares and fear fill
this raging, venomous sea.
It is a journey not chosen;
thrust into this odyssey.

Perhaps the shape of a lifeboat
my eyes will peer on the morrow,
but for now, lost, I am
in my saltless river of sorrow.
