I stand corrected on my comment about drug plans not covering Betahistine. I picked up my supply of Betahistine yesterday I was told it is covered by Tri Care in the US - the drug plan for retired military. I am a veteran but do not get Tri Care benefits because I am not a 20 years or more service veteran.

After a long time looking for information on what dose to take of betahistine, I found an article in my language summarizing and commenting on Meniere's current treatments. In the case of betahistine, it links to several studies that demonstrated its efficacy in doses of 48mg per day (24mg every 12h) for prolonged periods of 6 to 12 months.

I leave it for information since I was dancing with my dose for a long time without knowing how much I should take.

I am wondering if high-dose Betahistine would be bad for people with allergies who need to take antihistamines....
