Has anyone heard of using sodium caprate to relieve the pressure in the inner ear? Look at this website https://menieresresearchaustralia.org/author/djbrown32/ scroll down a little to the topic "Novel Pharmacological Treatments". It sounds so logical but I've never heard it talked about here and would be interested in others' perspective. Does anyone know more about Dr. Daniel Brown in Australia?
Purely a guess but I think they would inject into the middle ear the way they do gentamicin or dexamethasone but if you read the last paragraph I don't think they are really so sure either. That article was from September 2016. Don't know if anything has progressed on it. The guy (Daniel Brown) has a noble idea wanting to research and find a cure for Meniere's but he struggles for funding. I actually think Australia in general is a little behind in treatment modes. But I could be way off on that too. Does anybody out there know any billionaire philanthropists with Meniere's who might want to get on board?
If he is not still doing well he may be motivated and he certainly has the money. As far as I know Dana White did Orthokine in Germany. But I really can't tell from the scant information if he is still doing well. Does anybody know if he is still doing well? You can do Orthokine in the U.S. but the only person I've ever heard of who did it for Meniere's is Dana White.
They haven't yet perfected a way to deliver sodium caprate to the inner ear, according to the article.
I think he’s only motivated to help himself. I know which clinic he went to in Germany, it wasn’t difficult to figure out, but because he went on the record saying what he did, and in what country, that clinic now has a CYA policy and won’t even entertain the possibility of treating us everyday folk. Thanks, Dana White.
There is a similar treatment in the US called Regenokiine. They do it in NYC. I actually did it twice. It cost be 50,000 dollars. 25 k each time. It is just a band aid. It is just a really strong anti-inflammatory. The office is filled with professional athletes and big time celebrities. I literally walked in after a former CY Young winner on the Yankees. That being said...If I was worth a few hindered million...I would be in there every few months as needed. In may case it was a total waste of money. If anyone is thinking about it...I would be happy to let you know more. But if your case of MM is really bad...I would not send you there.
Mac, I have read about Regenokine. I am just so curious to know, because you said "That being said...If I was worth a few hindered million...I would be in there every few months as needed." What effect did you feel from the Regenokine treatment and how long did it last? John
Johns it is a very effective anti inflammatory. It is a like a super steroid. much better actually. it helped my symptoms for a few weeks. the first time I did it I thought I was cured like dana white. few weeks later I was having an attack. who wouldn't pay 25k to be cured...hell I'd walk barefoot to Alaska for a cure. problem is...its not a cure. its a band aid.
