What are some tunes that make you feel like coming together is a good thing?

This from one of my favorite bands when I was a kid.

And one from Yoko & the Lennon.

I don’t know if that’s exactly what you have in mind, but it promotes acceptance, which seems to be sorely lacking...good idea, by the way.

    Subsurface ocean, Europa
Buffalo Springfield - For What it's Worth

    Scott McKenzie - San Francisco

Like Autumn, I'm not sure if the above fits he bill, though they were the first to come to mind.

I'll listen to that Autumn. And yes, it can mean acceptance too.

The song "Let's Get it On" by Marvin Gaye is a song about getting it on, but one line stands out, "we are all sensitive people." Which is in large measure why we slip so easily into conflict with one another. Each side thinks they're arguing about right and wrong, and so the fight drags on. When really the aggression isn't so much about justice as it is both parties being deeply hurt by what's been said.

Everyone's heard the Gaye version. Here's a good cover from some anonymous fellow.

This one is a tad corny, but I liked it until Coca Cola got a hold of it.

    Superb voice.

    Timeless.

If not for a change of pace, to contort the topic, & acknowledge that which reliably creates alliance, Gary Clark Jr. recently produced a great cover of "Come Together".
