Well, I was hoping maybe the meds were too weak, too strong, or the wrong type of meds and that would be something that could be 'treated'/adjusted.
But, all he said--was numbers look good, thyroid normal, your worsening symptoms are not due to your thyroid.
He didn't say 'continue the meds', we'll check again when you come in 4 mos. or if I needed to come sooner, or what he thought was the problem. So----I called his office asking those questions. And if maybe a 'Neuro consult' was in order due to my tremors and very bad head pressure, etc. He said yesterday, during our visit, it was probably the Meniere's itself. He may be totally right but since I'm worse--no vertigo, but other symptoms worse and hardly let up. Yesterday was really bad, but some letup today--not sure if I'm now going to see a gradual improvement in how I feel with my thyroid adjusted--or if I need to see another doctor--like a Neurologist.
So, waiting now for a callback from his office. If he doesn't think a Neuro doctor can add anything, guess it's a 'learn to live with it' condition and I just have to accept it! Sure isn't easy--is it?

I was trying to send you the email
Dr Rauch just answered for me
He said the mm ear is very fragile
And any stress and thyroid issues can
Worsen symptoms . He is the best within
This field and I have seen even while
My thyroid was improving , the symptoms
We're still getting worse bc your thyroid
Can be declining faster then the gradual
Increase of thyroid medication.( that's part
Is my opinion lol) message me if you
    Would like me to email
You his reply regarding the thyroid

There is also a period of healing even if thyroid
Is normalized. I wouldn't wait 4 months to
Recheck my thyroid my thyroid is normal then the next
    Month bad again good luck

yanksgirl try the brand name and see if you feel better, it might be the generic causing your headaches etc

Vicki--I can't unless the doctor says it's necessary. And he doesn't feel it's necessary. My insurance will not cover otherwise. Both my husband and I are on several scripts so have to really watch expenses with meds. Using the generic if at all possible. Thanks for the suggestion

Yanksgirl, I think you should tell your doctor that it is necessary to try the brand name for a month since you are having side effects (headaches). I tried generic valacyclovir and had a side effect....bad abdominal pains. Several months later, I asked my ent to prescribe the brand name....just to see what happens. I was very nervous about it. I had no reactions and I am on double the dose that I was on with the generic that caused the side effect. I couldn't believe it. But my pharmacist said that the inactive ingredients can really affect people differently. Sure it is expensive; but now that I know that it is not the medication. It is the generic brand formula; I am now trying other generics that won't give me the side effects. There are many manufacturers of generic prescriptions; all using different inactive ingredients. Anyway, it was so worth it to me. I am feeling better after 2 weeks on the valacyclovir and I am so glad I took the risk and tried it again :) To me, I had nothing to lose (yes, it cost more......but at least now I know). Just my 2 cents.

It's ridiculous that some doctors. Are so
Stubborn , my dr said sometimes its the
    Fillers used that are different
From brand name drugs. This is what you
Can be sensitive to. Maybe talk to the pharmacist
And contact the ins company and they
    Can guide you .

Again, thanks Lisa and also Muff!
I will talk to the pharmacist and see what her opinion is of the generic I'm taking.
Since these symptoms have been so persistent for the last couple of years, it is hard to think it's the medication--but I had hoped that the problem with the thyroid problem was the 'culprit' and that addressing it would relieve them. It may just take time. I'll do more checking and will update you guys. I do appreciate all your help and just 'listening'! :)
