Hi everyone,. I haven't been diagnosed with meniers I was diagnosed with bppv and persistent positional dizziness but I'm getting a second opinion. I only get the spins when laying down and get the feeling I'm on a boat when in an upright position which comes and goes. Yes sounds like bppv but my other symptoms don't. I also get tinnitus which I think is in both ears but not at the same time. Hard to tell wat ear it's coming from sometimes I've noticed a couple of times that when I get the tinnitus my ear feels clogged with a high ringing sound which lasts 2mins it will then continue to ring but at a less high pitch. I don't get dizziness at the same time. My question is what does your tinnitus feel like and was this your early stage of meniers or did you only get it with vertigo. I've never had vertigo at same time.
I had vertigo spells for about 8 years before I was diagnosed in June of this year- but no tinnitus until January 2018. My tinnitus started in January of 2018 and I was not diagnosed until June of 2020 because NO ONE ASKED ME IF I HAD VERTIGO. I only had about 3 vertigo spells a year until 2018, and in early 2020 I was having 3 a month. Vertigo under control now since going on Betahistine but tinnitus unbearable every day.
