    All,

I am only posting this in hopes it can help someone else.
I have has this Meniere's for about 19 years, but it didn't get bad until 2019. March through Sept. of 2019 was bad. Then one morning in early Oct. of 2019 I woke up and the ear was back to its normal (mild tinnitus only). I was fine all last winter. Een my hearing was back.

Then in late March 2020, it was back. Loud pulsing ringing, hyperacusis, deafness, vertigo on and off and 4 major attacks. One in July, Aug, and two in Sept. All of Sept. was awful and some days I had mild/moderate vertigo all day. I went to the Dr. and informed him of all of this. He mentioned his mentor in medical school thought Meniere's was caused by allergies. A week later I decided to try Cetirizine. I had it around and have used it on and off over the years. Within two days my vertigo was gone. All other symptoms are still there. I kept at it for 2-3 weeks and stopped it for two days. The night of day 2 vertigo returned. Not severe, but it was there. Started again the next morning, and again within two days the vertigo was gone. I am still taking it, and won't stop until the vertigo returns or the ear calms down by itself like last year.

I don't know if it is the Cetirizine, or if it is will it last, but for me this is a good sign.

Interesting, thanks for the info. I take it some times, because I do get a terribly runny nose outside when golfing. I am always a little reluctant to take it because I just don't know its effect on MD, good or bad or nothing. I have always had "hay fever" and am allergic to cats but now get a runny nose a LOT.
