We decided to have our get together today. Heavy rain tomorrow. I did have some of the best pies today. There was man urged, bacon, stuffed eggs. For a minute I thought I was having breakfast.
That getting a Bulldog pup was exactly what I needed to lift my spirits and get my bony ass moving a good bit more. FWIW - this was NOT a rush decision, I have owned quite a few dogs and grew up on a farm. Wanted a EB since I first spent time around one, they are stubborn and require a good bit of training typically and a fair amount of regular maintenance. And that's if you do your due diligence and get one from a very good breeder and check the parents out, etc. But worth every second and dollar, a special breed for sure.
I've learned that while a friend is having vertigo she can still send me messages. I've done that too. It's a way to help divert your attention from the vertigo and having support seems to make a big difference. If it's a really severe attack where my eyes are photosensitive I just can't. No tv, no noise, dark and darker. If I can manage to type while I'm having vertigo to have support from a friend it makes a big difference. It's amazing the things our brain works.
All pets are that and more. They're our best friends and companions. I love all of my pets equally but I have to say that the ones I decided to get from breeders somehow mean more because I had to wait so long to get them. Basically I believe that it doesn't matter where you get your pets from, you're still rescuing them.
My dogs are what makes me smile many days when nothing else can. Once a vertigo episode gets to a certain point I can't type, cant see worth crap, and can't really think straight enough to be communicating with anyone. LOL
True words ladies; we have a small, older family dog (Buster) that is pretty dang smart and really easy to care for. I wanted to get the Bully pup while he (Buster) could still physically tolerate him. I was strongly feeling the need for something that really needed me and would be a daily companion as I am stuck here the majority of the time. Nice to hear from others who understand : )
It's been brought to my attention that typing while having vertigo is BS... There are different levels of vertigo and I for one like to refocus my brain if it's not a severe attack. I can and have done it. Has anyone else?
I do the same thing. As long as I can type and half way see the screen I'll do it to distract myself from it.
