Hi everyone. I had gentamicin injections last year with the last one being in April 2013. After a few weeks, vertigo stopped, but balance and tinnitus were terrible. Well, had to do vestibular therapy and slowly things got better. Although, tinnitus got worse and has never stopped since then. About 3 weeks ago, dizziness has returned along with nausea. I even laid down because I really felt like I was about to get a vertigo attack. Thankfully, I still had some of my valium from last year so I took that with a Zofran and laid down. This seemed to calm things down. Now, I am almost out of my valium because I am taking it daily for dizziness. I am afraid the vertigo is going to come back. I really don't know if I can take going through the 4 to 8 hour vertigo attacks again. I've been a member here since 2010 and everyone always gives good advice. My oto wants to do gentamicin again, but I don't want to go through that after I found out how it does you and what damage it can cause to your inner ear. Should I consider a laby? I know no one can tell me for sure of what to do but it would be nice to hear your thoughts.

    Thanks,

    Brad
