Celebrated Canada Day! Special because it's our 150 th birthday. Special because I spent some time with new Canadians who emigrated here from warm climates knowing full well they were going to have to adjust to a host of issues including our awful winters. They are delighted to be here and most of us are delighted to have these great people. Diversity makes us stronger. These wonderful people wanted a better life and were willing to deal with adversity to that end. They have endured so much. I was so happy to talk with these great people today.
You are a very kind hearted person Melc . There are many posts on FB regarding Canada day. Enjoy the celebrations! I am going for a barbecue so with family this afternoon and I feel very hungry already Since I am not on law sodium diet anymore I am going to enjoy myself! I hope it's not going to rain ☔️! Enjoy your Sunday everyone!!
Thank you, Marta. How was the BBQ? I hope it didn't rain. What food did you have? Too hot to cook here so I amd eating vicariously! ;D ;D
… & for a moment there I forgot I was talking to a Canuck. Culturally speaking, we're siblings. However meteorologically, -2°C would be what to a Canadian, budgie smuggling weather?
Lol, Nathan. Poor budgies. I always get a disturbing visual when I hear that expression. I would have been quite happy with a balmy -2. It was +30 yesterday. It's supposed to get to +33 today. That damn Chinese hoax!
