I haven't had an ice cream cone in like 4 years. I think I'll go get one tonight. Vanilla with chocolate chip or whatever. I bet my first bite is going to feel electric going down. What a great invention. Iced. Cream. Brilliant.

Finally all packed , flying tomorrow in the afternoon. I am going to have lots of ice- cream as there is a place where a family runs their small ice- cream business. Those are the most delicious ice- cream you can think of. You can't find them even in London. I think I will return home a big bigger
    What are your plans Melc?

I did not go for ice cream. I went a Italian bar/restaurant and they happened to have a Beatles cover band playing. They were really good. The first set they played as young Beatles. Dressed properly. The second set was Sgt. Pepper's era Beatles, and they came back out dressed like they did on that album cover. I didn't stay for third set. I couldn't believe at this smallish local bar they had such a great Beatles band.

I've never seen a Beatle's cover band. You close your eyes and pretend you're hearing the real thing. They were before my time but man their music sounds so fresh.

I've still got my sights set on that ice cream cone though.

That sounds like a great experience, Pupper. Beatles cover band is better than ice cream any day.

We got hit with another horrific hail storm tonight. When it was over, the sun came out and I went to survey the damage. The one last Sunday was bad enough but this one shredded everything. An hour later we had another one and they're forecasting the possibility of a third hail storm later tonight. At least the tomatoes in the greenhouse are safe. Oh hail!

Safe travels, Marta. I hope you have a good holiday. As for our plans, not much. I'm going to visit with four friends that I meet with every year. We all started out in the same remote community in northern Manitoba. We had our kids around the same time . Eventually we all moved away from there and are spread out all over Canada. Once a year we get together.

Pupper, listening to the band must have been an awesome experience! Make sure you have your ice cream. I am sure it's worth it
Melc, I can't believe you had another bad hail storm . Are so frequent hail storms common where you live ?
It's so lovely you meet with your friends once a year. I am sure you have so much to talk about. Do you all go to Mainoba to meet ? Have a lovely reunion!
    Have a great week everyone

    Marta

Have you had your first holiday ice cream yet?

Hail is common here, but not that many storms in that amount of time. Three separate storms in one night is very unusual. We are going out to the allotment to clean up this morning. My husband went out yesterday to have a look and he said the onion tops were all ripped off. That means they stop growing. The squash leaves were shredded so I think that means no squash this year. Sigh. The tomatoes looked like they have been machine gunned.

I hope you have a good flight and that you've got yourself in holiday mode by now. Have fun!

I am sorry to hear your veggies have not survived I hope no more storms are coming!
My flight was great and today was meant to be my first fabulous day of my holidays but... It has been raining continously for a few days so that my brother's house has been flooded. To prevent more water to come in we have been using buckets and our muscles. WE means my sister in law , myself and her mum. All men are away. My brother works on a rig and he will be Home on Thursday. I have not mentioned there are 2 children at home as well to look after.( the baby is only 6 months !) I am staying here overnight to help out. I don't think I will get any sleep at all.
When it's over I will make sure I have a gigantic ice cream ! But It has to stop raining first!
