I read somewhere that if the opposite ear Gets mm the symptoms are less severe Such as fullness and hearing loss. Is this true? Today I woke up with my bad ear Feeling 100% and the opposite feels Clogged but no hearing loss or fullness. Wondering if its the beginning of mm In my other ear. I don't have a cold either
I was first diagnosed on my right side over 25 years ago. My left side was diagnosed 14 years ago. In my experience, the symptoms were more severe on my right side as I had all of the classic symptoms, including vertigo. I've never had a full blown vertigo episode while my left side was currently having symptoms. Only all of the only wonderful symptoms of MD like tinnitus, fullness, hyperacusis, hearing loss, etc. My doctor seems to think that the first ear to go usually has more sever symptoms ... for what that's worth.
I got Meniere's in my left ear first. Ten years later I got Meniere's in my right ear. The Meniere's in my right ear was much worse probably due to the fact there were perilymphatic fistulas in my left ear. Best regards, Jim

Hey Jim Great to see you post again. I bet Alaska is just beautiful this time of year. The last Frontier and God's country. Hope you are well? For anybody who is bilateral Jim is a great resource as his story is very inspirational. A man with zero balance function who lives a normal life and travels the world. And a great resource for those thinking of Cochlear Implants. Jim thanks for coming around again and for being an inspiration and help to me. Joe/Bulldogs
